Happy Sunday! I participate with a group of 15 photographers from The Bloom Forum to challenge ourselves creatively each week by posting an image that we interpret according to a theme.
This week’s theme is Light – it can be dramatic light, unexpected light, backlighting, or flash, but is certainly not limited to these light situations. Without light, there is no photography, and the very word “photography” actually comes from two Greek words, phos meaning light, and graphis meaning drawing. To that end, photography can be described as “drawing with light.”
The following image is from a wonderful beach photo shoot the week before (okay, sort of cheating but I did have this week’s theme is mind) as the light was unpredictable, often-changing, and full of surprises. There is nothing I love more than a lot of clouds in the sky on the beach, especially during the countdown to sunset.

That sky is amazing, almost looks like a backdrop its so beautiful. The family must be loving the images you captured for them Stacey.
Loved this picture of the three beautiful sisters. When I first looked at it,I thought of God’s shining light looking down on these three precious girls. You’ve captured a lot in a family photo Stacey, when the picture still ‘speaks’ to a person who does not know the girls.
Love the clouds in the sky, it gives extra interest.
