Happy Sunday! The school year is winding down which means a lot is going on for the kids as well as parents, so it’s a busy time! In case you are new to my blog, I joined a group of 14 fellow photographers from The Bloom Forum back in January with the purpose of challenging our creativity with weekly theme-based photo interpretations. We are already at week 19! Some of the previous themes have included Vintage, Something Hot or Cold, Reflections, and Fresh or Crisp. This week’s theme is Texture, which can either be applied to a photo, or texture in terms of the item or person photographed. Unfortunately I spent most of the week thinking that next week’s theme was THIS week’s theme, including taking pictures for it LOL. But as luck would have it, I took a lot of photos during the week and came across one particular one of Alex last night as I was going through them all that would make a great choice for this week since I would be “applying” a processed texture.
This was taken outside The Anna Maria Oyster Bar last Sunday night when my parents were here for a visit. The texture I added is Brushed Sky from the Florabella lll Collection. I love adding textures to photographs – texture can really take an image from “nice” to WOW!

Our blogs are linked to form a circle, so please continue on to see what the fabulous Amy Lucy | Twin Cities Newborn, Baby, and Children’s Photographer has this week. If you stop by, please let us know by leaving a comment. We love them!
